Pocket Possibilities: 'Freespace' in community

Remote Communities, Architectural Practice
Australia

A tool for applying principles of ‘Freespace 2018’ to designing with Australian minority communities. This project is focused on developing a practical ‘pocket guideline’ for use by architects and consultants when designing with marginalised First Nations communities. It draws from the principles of ‘Freespace 2018’ Venice Biennale, centred around an ‘architecture of possibility’, to aid inclusive culturally sensitive designing and to foster cultural exchange.

The report is written to reflect the personal journey of the project whilst also recording key findings and outcomes.
