Renew your registration

Choose the length of your registration term

You may choose a 1, 3 or 5-year registration term.

New registrations may commence at any point in time and will continue from the date of application for the term you have nominated (unless cancelled sooner).

Registration fees

From 1 June 2024 all renewal fees for practising and non-practising architects will increase by 4.1%.

* Note there is no saving for 3- and 5-year terms, which factor in a year-on-year increase.

 

Registration renewal process

 

STEP 1

Ensure you have met your CPD obligations for the last registration term and that all activities and supporting evidence have been recorded in MyCPD.

STEP 2

Ensure you have all the necessary information near to hand.

  1. If you are required to maintain a policy of professional indemnity insurance, you will need to upload the Certificate of Currency at renewal.

  1. Have your, or your employer’s, ABN/ACN with you. You will need to enter the business entity’s details at renewal.
  2. Confirm your personal details are up to date. It is a requirement of registration that you advise the NSW ARB of any change in your personal details within 14 days of the change.

STEP 3

Login to your account to renew your registration by the due date.

Late renewals

If your application for registration renewal is received after the due date but within three months of expiration, you will be charged a $155 restoration fee in addition to the annual renewal fee. Your registration will be backdated to allow for continuity of registration. If your application for registration renewal is received more than 3 months after expiration, you will be charged a $250 restoration fee in addition to the annual renewal fee. Your registration will not be continuous and will be dated from the date you applied to be restored to the NSW Register of Architects.

 


STEP 4

Your application will be processed after payment is received. You will be emailed a certificate of currency and the tax receipt.

 


STEP 5

Login to your account at any time to download a copy of your certificate of currency and tax receipt.
